چکیده

Melt electrospinning of polylactide (PLA) loaded with chloramphenicol (CAM) has been performed and characteristics fibers, physical properties scaffolds, CAM release behavior, antibacterial biocompatibility have evaluated. The interest samples is nowadays enhanced for biomedical applications since this antibiotic demonstrated to be efficient the treatment cancer. selected as an ideal preparation process because it avoids use toxic solvents which are harmful environment could problematic applications. rendered fibers a relatively large diameter (between 20 μm 40 depending on load) minimum polymer degradation. Characteristics melt electrospun scaffolds were also compared those prepared by solution electrospinning. Differences consisted in more sustained higher processed samples. Bactericide effect was evaluated evidence maintenance bioactivity after processing at high temperature slower caused constitutive fibers. Since pure showed thermal degradation temperatures close PLA melting temperature, complete analysis well performed. Invariant Kinetic Parameters method allowed determining initial decomposition step that followed autoaccelatory Avrami model, then autocatalytic reaction took place conversions than 50%. Dispersion matrix enhances stability antibiotic, onset 16 °C melt-electrospun liquid state CAM.

Electrospun nanostructured scaffolds for tissue engineering applications.

Despite being known for decades (since 1934), electrospinning has emerged recently as a very widespread technology to produce synthetic nanofibrous structures. These structures have morphologies and fiber diameters in a range comparable with those found in the extracellular matrix of human tissues. Therefore, nanofibrous scaffolds are intended to provide improved environments for cell attachmen...

Nanofibrous scaffolds in biomedical applications

Nanofibrous scaffolds are artificial extracellular matrices which provide natural environment for tissue formation. In comparison to other forms of scaffolds, the nanofibrous scaffolds promote cell adhesion, proliferation and differentiation more efficiently due to having high surface to volume ratio. Although scaffolds for tissue engineering have been fabricated by various techniques but elect...

Ibuprofen-Loaded CTS/nHA/nBG Scaffolds for the Applications of Hard Tissue Engineering

Background: This study addressed the development of biodegradable and biocompatible scaffolds with enhanced biomechanical characteristics. The biocompatibility and the cationic nature of chitosan (CTS) make it more effective as a bone grafting material. Methods: The hydroxyapatite nanoparticles (nHA) were synthesized by hydrothermal method, and bioglass (nBG) (50% SiO2-45% CaO-5% P2O5) was synt...
